2018 Lakes Region Lacrosse Club Spring Season Registration Process

The Lakes Region Lacrosse Club is open to girls and boys of all abilities who reside in the Gilford School District and surrounding towns that do not currently have a youth lacrosse program.  Participants include residents of Alton, Canterbury, Center Harbor, Gilford, Gilmanton, Belmont, Meredith, Moultonboro, Northfield, and Tilton.

The club is a member of the New Hampshire Youth Lacrosse Association (www.nhyla.org). The club's home field is the Meadows Complex in Gilford, New Hampshire.

The New Hampshire Youth Lacrosse Association has adopted Grade-based eligibility rules:   Also, an age eligible athlete can play U15 as a high school freshman, IF, they are NOT playing on their school team. When you register your athlete, they will be placed in the appropriate age bracket. Go here to read the age rules in full:  http://www.uslacrosse.org/rules/age-eligibility-guidelines

Practices are planned to begin in March 2018 with weather/field conditions being the primary factor. There may be a few indoor practices if the fields are closed due to weather.

Practices are held 2-3 times per week.  Eight regularly scheduled league games occur on Sundays (and a couple of Saturdays) beginning April 8th, 2018. Approximately one half of the games are held locally and one half require travel to host towns in New Hampshire.

Coaches will be emailing you with details on schedule and location. Your athlete must be fully registered and equipped to participate in practice.

Game Schedules will be available on our Lakes Region Lacrosse Club website after April 1st. Check this often. They tend to change.

2018 LRLC Summer Box Lacrosse Registration Information

Lakes Region Lacrosse Club is offering a 6-week session of Summer Box Lacrosse from June 26th through July 31st at the Merrill Fay Ice Arena in Laconia.  Coach Derek Bekar of LRLC and LRYHA (Lakes Region Youth Hockey Association) will be leading the program Tuesday evenings from 5pm-6pm.  Children in Grades 1 through 6 are encouraged to paricipate.

What is Box Lacrosse?

Box lacrosse is an indoor version of lacrosse on the ice arena in Laconia, a great way to keep your skills up during the summer.  Box lacrosse is a fast-paced game, played in an enclosed arena (box), once the ice has been removed.

The New Hampshire Youth Lacrosse Association Grade-based eligibility rules apply.  US Lacrosse insurance coverage for members now extends to participation in box lacrosse played under rule sets approved by US Lacrosse.  Leagues, players, coaches, and officials are covered by this member insurance at no additional charge.

Current US Lacrosse membership is required.

Memberships expire after a season ends. The only way your child/children are protected by US Lacrosse is if the card is current all the way through the tournament period. The cost of a US Lacrosse membership is $30 per player for 2018. You will be directed to the US Lacrosse website as part of the LRLC Registration Process.
